PDR Lighting

PDR lights are an essential part of PDR as it assists the DPR Technician to observe all dents including the tiniest and shallowest dents. If you cannot see the dent in detail, you will have a hard time in producing quality workmanship!

There are a variety of lights designed to assist in producing the better quality dark lines used to located the centre of dents. Professional PDR Technicians tend to use lights on a stand and today they tend have a battery tray so that they can be moved around with no leads in the way decreasing the OH & S risks!

Sometimes, such as when working on smaller jobs or quoting in car yards, more portable lights can be more effective and less of an issue. In that case, suction cup lights can be a good alternative.

There are a variety of PDR lights with varying colours and combinations to assist with different colour paints, different lighting conditions and different types of dents. Some find different colours more effective for them and more pleasant for the eye!
