                • line marking and OH&S considerations including signage

Line marking

Line marking can be done professionally using other companies but this need not be the case and a simple spray can is easily utilised to mark out working zones, car parks, pathways, thoroughfares and so forth. Always check the local and state government guidelines as to what is required for that particular area.

Cleaning

Cleaning is imperative and given you are not sure what the premises may have been used for previously, you should ensure it is all pressure cleaned thoroughly. In one of the recent storm cases, the workshop acquired was previously used as a mechanics workshop. This of course meant that lots of greases and oils existed. The work shop was pressure thoroughly cleaned and repainted. OH & S signsLines were marked for working bays although this particular workshop only was able to cater for about 4 PDR Technicians.

Safety Considerations

All workplaces are required to adhere to OH & S procedures for both staff, employees and customers. This includes appropriate signage including one similar to this that warns visitors and customers to visit the office and not the workplace.

An Occupational Health and Safety set of guidelines are available so look for one appropriate for your region and business.

Roofing and Lightning

If lightning is an issue with too much sunlight causing glare in the workshop, this will be problematic for the PDR technicians and also the quoting process. It is imperative to ensure that too much sunlight is blocked or clear fibreglass sheets covered up with black plastic or taken off if required and replaced.

An ideal workplace for someone that is setting up a permanent workplace although not essential, having lighting surrounding and in the form of a grid pattern on all walls in the workplace provides good points of reference for PDR technicians to see dents.
